We are seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join a leader in wholesale and retail Men’s fashion!

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for processing full cycle payroll in a timely and accurate manner, across Canada and US while auditing payroll processing reports for accuracy;
  • Ensure proper payment of deposits, tracking of paid time off, special payments, employment termination payout, system interface, etc.;
  • Administer employee benefits and other wellness programs;
  • Respond to specific requests from internal and external clients;
  • Produce and validate various bi-weekly, monthly and annual reports;
  • Review payroll register and reconcile payroll accounts and prepare payroll accounting journal entries;
  • Ensure that all pay codes are in compliance with legislative requirements;
  • Process amounts ordered to be withheld through a garnishment, third party demand or support deduction order, when required;
  • Maintain up-to-date policies and procedures for employee group benefits, compensation and recognition programs;
  • Assist with the analysis and development of new and existing benefits and total rewards initiatives, policies and procedures;
  • Administer HR Recognition programs.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience with payroll;
  • 2-4 years relevant experience;
  • Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) designation is considered an asset;
  • Experience within Canada and US; Experience working with remote locations, highly desirable;
  • Strong technical strengths in the areas of payroll supporting a growing operation across US and Canada;
  • Adept with Google Workspace;
  • Sense of urgency and attention to detail;
  • Perfectly bilingual, both written and spoken (French and English).
